“He’s reminding me of” – Thierry Henry likens Estevao to Premier League legend after Barcelona…

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry said Estevao reminded him of Ryan Giggs after the Brazilian put in a brilliant performance against Barcelona.

The Blues ran out 3-0 winners against the Spanish champions on a special night at Stamford Bridge, with Estevao scoring the goal of the night.

Chelsea took the lead through an own goal by Jules Kounde, whilst Liam Delap was also on the scoresheet, and the Blues also had three goals disallowed.

Thierry Henry on Estevao performance

Enzo Maresca pulled a surprise as he started all three of Estevao, Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto, with the Portugal international deployed down the middle.

The Blues were absolutely scintillating, and despite being helped by a red card for Ronald Araujo, they put Barcelona to the sword.

The talk pre-game was about Estevao and Yamal, but come the end all the talk was about the Brazil international.

Estevao once again demonstrated why he’s one of the best talents in world football, and Henry admitted his performance reminded him of Ryan Giggs.

“You wouldn’t like to play against him,” Henry told CBS Sports.

“I’m not saying that you wouldn’t be able to stop him but he’s coming at you all the time.

“He’s reminding me of, I know it’s early doors, but that’s why I think Ryan Giggs was one of the best because he was coming at you all game.

“Whether he’s having a good game or not a good game, he’s trying to test you all the time and see if you’re going to stop him or not.

“That’s how it is as a winger.”

Chelsea move into Champions League top eight
