13-year-old Luis Munoz has been named in Arsenal U19s’ provisional squad to face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Youth League today.
With Arsenal only having a minimal chance of progressing to the knockout stages after losing their first four matches, several schoolboys have been included in the squad for today’s game at Meadow Park.
Munoz, one of Arsenal’s most highly rated prospects, has yet to feature for the U18s but has frequently played above his age group and has made an impact for the U16s this season. He has been given the squad number 98.
U16 midfielder Emerson Nwaneri has also been named in the squad and has been given number 97. Nwaneri, who can also play at right-back, has impressed for the U16s.
U15 goalkeeper Charlie Phillips is also in the squad having travelled with the team for previous matches in the competition.
U16 defender Angelinou Pedro, who made his debut for the U18s last weekend, is in the squad and has been allocated number 67.
Max Dowman and Kyran Thompson are also involved along with Andre Harriman-Annous.
Jack Porter and Marli Salmon are back from the U17 World Cup, where they were part of the England squad.
