Both were considered two of the brightest talents to graduate from Carrington in the post-Ferguson era, but they both went their separate ways in the summer.

Alejandro Garnacho gets the better of Marcus Rashford
Rashford has been shining in the Champions League for Barcelona this season, scoring twice in matches against Newcastle United and Olympiacos.
However, Hansi Flick decided against starting Rashford at Stamford Bridge. Instead, he came on as a half-time substitute when his side were trailing and down to 10 men.

Garnacho did start for Chelsea but only lasted until the hour mark before being replaced by Liam Delap.
As per SofaScore, Garnacho got the higher rating of the pair with a 6.7/10 compared to Rashford’s 6.1/10.

Rashford was brought on to bolster Barcelona’s counter-attacking presence, but Chelsea were able to keep him quiet.

Both Rashford and Garnacho made sure they left United for clubs competing in Europe – in a season where the Red Devils missed out.
Amorim is expected to qualify for Europe this season, but with United currently 10th in the Premier League table, that will be an uphill battle.

As for Rashford and Garnacho at their new clubs, the latter is on track to reach the final 16 in the Champions League with Chelsea now fifth in the standings.
Rashford and Barcelona have dropped down to 15th in the table, meaning the La Liga side could require a play-off to reach the next stage.
