Arne Slot needs a big performance from his players against PSV Eindhoven.
The Reds have been way off the pace in the Premier League so far this season, but they have been going well in the Champions League.
They have won three of their four matches so far, with this putting them in a good position in the league phase.

However, recent performances will be a huge worry as they seem to only be getting worse, with Slot’s job starting to be heavily questioned.
However, there is a tactical change he is able to make in the game that could see one star save his job, with this potentially being the difference between winning and losing.

Dominik Szoboszlai can save Arne Slot’s job
One of, if not the best, Liverpool players so far this season has been Dominik Szoboszlai, with the Hungarian, quite literally, all over the pitch.
Wherever he is asked to play he does so with no complaints and with such ease, with his latest outing being at right-back against Nottingham Forest.
Although he did well there, just like he has multiple times already this season, he is much better when playing centrally, with his energy in the middle of the park a big miss, as seen at the weekend.

But now, with Joe Gomez having a few training sessions under his belt, he could be risked at right-back, allowing Szoboszlai to return to his usual midfield position.
This might be absolutely key for the Reds as they are a much better team when he plays there, especially as he has the ability to change a game with a moment of magic.

Who will win Liverpool vs PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday?
He will drive them forward, press high and never stop running, all things Liverpool need to get back to doing, with Szoboszlai the perfect role model for them to learn from.
Dominik Szoboszlai has all the traits to be a Liverpool great
There were question marks over where Szoboszlai would fit into the Liverpool team when Florian Wirtz first arrived, but his performances have blown all that out of the water.
Now, he seems to be the first name on the teamsheet, with his individual performances not a reflection of how bad the team has been as a whole.
He has been ‘brilliant’ in virtually every game but has been let down by those around him, but this has not made him drop his standards.
He is also a leader without the armband, although he could very much get it one day, and if Liverpool do pick up, he will be a key reason for it.
