The NFC East continues to run through the Philadelphia Eagles (8-3), but things got a little tighter this week as the Dallas Cowboys (5-5-1) pulled off a fourth-quarter comeback against the Eagles. The Washington Commanders (3-8) got the week off, while the New York Giants (2-10) lost yet another close game after blowing a lead. With just six weeks left in the 2025 season, let’s dig into our Week 12 NFC East Report Cards.
Philadelphia Eagles

Week 12 Overall Grade: D

The Philadelphia Eagles led 21-7 at halftime against the Dallas Cowboys, but the wheels quickly fell off in Dallas as the Cowboys came from behind and won 24-21. The Eagles came into the game as the most miserable 8-2 team in history, and this loss won’t do much to quell the rumor mill in Philadelphia.
Week 12 Offensive Grade: D+
The 21-point output in the first half was a huge positive for Philadelphia’s offense, but the goose egg in the second half killed their chances of winning on the road. While Jalen Hurts had 289 passing yards and A.J. Brown went over 100 receiving yards, the Eagles running game was stuck in the mud as Saquon Barkley had just 22 rushing yards.

Week 12 Defensive Grade: D
The Eagles defense looked great in the first half as they limited the Cowboys to just seven points, but the second half Cowboys comeback sunk their grade this week. Dallas had 473 yards of total offense on the day as Dak Prescott threw for 354 yards. The Eagles defense is one of the best in the league, but this wasn’t one of their best weeks.

Week 12 Overall Grade: A-
The Dallas Cowboys had a slow start to their 24-21 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but it’s hard to knock them too much as this is the first time they’ve won back-to-back games all season. While the Cowboys are now back to .500 at 5-5-1, they’re still 2.5 games out of a playoff spot and have games against the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions up next.
Week 12 Offensive Grade: A
With 473 total yards of offense on the day, the Cowboys offense deserves an A. They only scored seven points in the first half, but they more than made up for it with a big second half and 473 total yards on the day. The offense had a great day on the ground with 125 total rushing yards while Dak Prescott and George Pickens led the passing game for the Cowboys.
Week 12 Defensive Grade: A-
We’ll knock the Cowboys defense a bit for giving up 21 points in the first half, but we’ll still keep them in the A-range for pitching a second-half shutout. The Cowboys defense has played much better after a couple of key trade deadline additions, and they did well in holding the Eagles offense to just 63 total rushing yards and 21 points.
New York Giants

Week 12 Overall Grade: C-
The New York Giants have lost 10 games this season, and seven of them have been one-score games. They’ve also lost a fourth-quarter lead in five of those games. While they’re probably better off adding losses to their 2-10 record in order to improve their draft position, this one has to sting for the Giants and their fans.
Week 12 Offensive Grade: A
The Giants offense put up the highest yardage total in the league on Sunday as they had 517 total yards on the day. Jameis Winston played great with 366 passing yards, and Wan’Dale Robinson had a monster game with 156 receiving yards. Sadly for the Giants, the 27 points weren’t enough as their defense let them down again.
Week 12 Defensive Grade: D
The Giants defense played well for three quarters on Sunday, but things fell apart in the fourth quarter when the Giants gave up a ten-point lead. Things got worse in overtime when Jahmyr Gibbs ran for a 69-yard game-winning touchdown (which was part of his 219-yard day). Yet another late collapse had its consequences as the Giants fired defensive coordinator Matt Bowen after the game.
Washington Commanders Bye Week Grade: D

The Washington Commanders lost six straight games heading into their bye week and will have to face the Denver Broncos in Week 13. Sitting at 3-8, things aren’t going to get much better for the Commanders as they’ll likely be without Jayden Daniels for the rest of the season. With two matchups left against the Eagles, it’s a near certainty that the Commanders will finish the season with double-digit losses.
