Liverpool have joined Arsenal in sending observers to watch RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Assan Ouedraogo in action, according to reports in Germany.
Sport Bild (via Goal) claim that the two Premier League clubs have had scouts in attendance for recent Leipzig fixtures.
Ouedraogo has caught the eye for both club and country, having scored on his debut for Germany against Slovakia earlier this month.

For Leipzig, he has also impressed in recent weeks, having found the back of the net in his last appearance against Werder Bremen at the weekend.
Liverpool have been watching him for nearly 2 years
The Reds were first linked with a move for Ouedraogo in December 2023. He was still at Schalke at the time, with the Merseysiders, Chelsea and Manchester United all keeping tabs on his progress.
However, even then, Leipzig were regarded as favourites to secure his signature, and he eventually made the move to the Bundesliga club for €10m in the summer of 2024.
Leipzig are known for picking up very talented young players and Sport Bild report that they rate Ouedraogo very highly, with there being an expectation that his value could exceed €90m (£78m) in the future.
Ouedraogo’s injury problems are a concern
What may stop teams like Liverpool from making an offer for the teenager is his fitness record. He spent most of his first year at Leipzig on the sidelines with hamstring and knee injuries. He only played 5 matches in total.
Ouedraogo has now been struck down with yet another injury. Reports suggest that the 19-year-old could be on the treatment table for 5 to 7 weeks due to a knee problem.
While the midfielder is clearly talented, interested clubs are unlikely to spend a sizeable amount on signing him unless he can improve his availability.
