_“Storyline No. 2: The Lakers are 2-0 with LeBron James in the lineup,” Lowe said to Howard Beck. “They have beaten the Jazz both times. Huzzah… I don’t want to spend too much time on this because I talked about LeBron’s debut. I just think, offensively, they have to be absolutely thrilled with how he has fit in so far. They’re running all the right actions… This team is pretty g\*\*\*\*\*\* good, Howard. They’re 12-4… I want to watch every game with these three guys playing.”_
The Lakers could have a chance to do something special this season, and it should be very fun to watch.
**The Lakers are very fun (and could be very good)**
Getting James back will always add a great amount of watch value to a roster. He’s one of the best basketball players to ever grace an NBA court. But this year was a little different.
Prior to James coming back from injury, the Lakers were playing well. Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves were leading the charge, dominating the offense and lifting LA to win after win.
So, when it came time for James to return, there were some question marks surrounding whether or not the shake-up would help or hurt the Lakers, as is the case when any lineup gets shifted around.
Well, luckily for the Lakers, things have gone well so far. It’s only been a couple of games, but LA has looked good with James, even with Doncic and Reaves still getting their touches.
In fact, Lowe also talked about how the actions with James and Reaves, James and Doncic, and Doncic and Reaves have all looked solid, which is a great sign for the Lakers’ potential success moving forward.
Obviously, there are still plenty of roadblocks that sit between the Lakers and a run at an NBA Championship this season. Most notably, the stacked Western Conference will be difficult for _any_ team to trek through.
But on top of that, the Lakers’ defense has question marks, they need to stay healthy, and their role players have to keep contributing as well as they have been thus far.
However, the early returns are in for the Lakers with James back in the lineup: The offense looks good, and they are a _very_ fun basketball team to watch.
