Before I get started, please don’t read this as any type of endorsement for Mike McCoy to be hired as the next head coach of the Tennessee Titans. There have already been times when I wanted him to be fired as the interim coach, but with that being said, Cam Ward has shown significant improvement since McCoy took over.
* The thing that we don’t really know is how much of that is Ward figuring it out, and how much of it is anything McCoy is doing differently than Brian Callahan. Either way, in a season that was always about developing Ward, this is a very good thing.
* Along those same lines, the offense overall has been better with McCoy, but the run game has been nothing short of a disaster
* Drew Beatty of [PaulKuharsky.com](https://www.paulkuharsky.com/news/titans-cam-ward-film-study-vs-seahawks) called the game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks Ward’s best game yet. We know Ward has an incredible ability to make plays off schedule, but he is getting better at making plays within the structure of the offense each week. That is ultimately what it will take for him to be a franchise quarterback.
* Former Titans GM Ran Carthon said yesterday that he wanted to trade back into the first round to draft Jahmyr Gibbs:
* That’s great and all, but the Titans had the 11th pick and took Peter Skoronski. If he wanted Gibbs so badly, why didn’t he just take him at 11? It would have cost an insane amount for Carthon to get back to 12.
