Robert Lewandowski is still facing an uncertain future at Barcelona as Tottenham lurk around for his signature
Tottenham’s attacking struggles continue to hinder the club’s progress under Thomas Frank this season. The Lilywhites are finding it difficult to create meaningful chances, with their strikers offering little relief in the final third. Of the 32 goals Spurs have scored in all competitions so far, only five have come from the club’s forwards.
The lack of reliable options up front is causing Spurs to fall behind their rivals and lose ground in the race for Champions League qualification. Richarlison, currently the club’s first-choice striker, has struggled to find consistency. The Brazilian began the campaign in excellent fashion with a brace on opening day, but he has failed to build on that performance and has already slipped down the pecking order.

Meanwhile, both Randal Kolo Muani and Dominic Solanke have struggled with injuries this season. Kolo Muani suffered a dead leg immediately after joining on deadline day, followed by a jaw fracture. Solanke is still recovering from an ankle injury as he looks to establish himself under Thomas Frank at N17.
Tottenham receive positive news on Barcelona stalwart Robert Lewandowski’s future
Tottenham are determined to bring in a new striker in January as they aim to build on last season’s Europa League success. Strengthening the centre-forward position is viewed as a major priority, especially with recent reports linking Richarlison with a potential loan return to Everton for the second half of the season. Should he depart, the Lilywhites will need to fill the void to remain competitive in the battle for a top-four finish.
Recent reports suggest Spurs have identified Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski as a possible replacement for Richarlison. The Poland international has just six months left on his current contract, and there has been no progress toward an extension. As a result, the prolific forward is keeping his options open in case Barcelona choose to pursue other alternatives.

The same report adds that Spurs may face competition from Fenerbahce, but according to Florian Plettenburg (via X), Lewandowski has rejected a move to Turkey as he wants to continue competing in top European leagues. The legendary striker has also ruled out leaving Camp Nou in January, indicating he plans to wait until the summer before deciding his future.
This still gives Spurs a faint opportunity to explore a deal in the winter window. Barcelona may find it sensible to cash in rather than risk losing Lewandowski for free in the summer. If Tottenham can convince the Poland international to join N17, they could offer him a key role in the squad and regular minutes under Thomas Frank.
Lewandowski would provide much-needed experience and a constant goal threat. His movement, finishing ability, and knack for being in the right place at the right time would significantly boost Tottenham’s attacking output. Signing him would be a strong short-term investment, given his efficiency in front of goal. However, it remains to be seen whether Spurs can persuade him to join Thomas Frank’s project in the Premier League.
