Patrick Mahomes has agreed to a contract extension with adidas which will see the Kansas City Chiefs star move into golf merchandise.
Last week, Mahomes threw for 352 yards — as well as an interception — as the Chiefs needed overtime to secure a 23-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He connected with Rashee Rice for 141 yards, and did just enough as the Chiefs moved to 6-5 with the victory.

Kicker Harrison Butker became the hero after running back Kareem Hunt — who won the AFC Offensive Player of the Week — scored a vital touchdown in the fourth quarter. Kansas City remains three wins behind the Denver Broncos in the AFC West, with just six games remaining.

The Chiefs' next game is against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving, a new experience for tight end Travis Kelce. Ahead of the holiday showdown, Mahomes agreed to a contract extension with adidas.
His new deal with the iconic sportswear brand will see Mahomes remain the face of the adidas US Football division. The 30-year-old will continue to serve as the global face of adidas alongside soccer superstars Lionel Messi and Kaká, with whom he has starred in commercials broadcast worldwide.
However, interestingly, Mahomes will expand his longtime partnership with adidas to include a new golf line under the brand. The three-time Super Bowl champion is fond of golf, playing whenever possible. He also featured in a match alongside Josh Allen against Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.
The clash with the Cowboys is a massive contest for the Chiefs, who have struggled in the 2025 season. Offensive issues plagued the Chiefs last season, as Mahomes threw under 4,000 yards for the first time in his career — but Kansas City still managed to reach Super Bowl LIX before suffering a humiliating 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite Rice's return from suspension, the Chiefs' offense has still struggled. Injuries to Xavier Worthy and inconsistencies at running back have slowed the unit down, forcing Mahomes to make more plays on his own.

Mahomes has already surpassed his rushing total for last season (307) and has 318 rushing yards through 11 games. The quarterback has also scored four rushing touchdowns, matching his career-high.
The two-time MVP has never thrown fewer than 26 touchdowns in a single season as a starting quarterback, but he has only thrown 18 through 11 games. His 64.4 percent completion rate is also the lowest of his NFL career. During the Colts game, CBS broadcaster Tony Romo believes Mahomes doesn't trust some members of his offense amid their issues.

"He wanted to throw that ball to Kelce," Romo claimed when analysing a play. "And I think he had Kelce on the deep cross because he has been there a couple of times today. He is gonna go all the way across the field. Mahomes needs to be more patient with his progression... He wants to not be wrong."
"I’ll be honest, Mahomes is literally deciding, I’m gonna go do this," Romo added. "The season’s on the line, I’m gonna make it like a playoff game. I don’t trust you necessarily outside the wind. I’m doing this."
