Arsenal's young prodigy, Luis Munoz, has made history by becoming the youngest player ever to feature in the UEFA Youth League at just 13 years old. The youngster was brought on for the final four minutes of Arsenal's 4-2 triumph over Bayern Munich at Mangata Developments Stadium.
Ceadach O'Neill and Kyran Thompson netted for the under-19s, sandwiched between two goals from Max Dowman, with his second being a remarkable solo effort deep into stoppage time to seal the victory.
David Horseman's side had previously suffered losses to Slavia Prague, Atletico Madrid, Olympiacos and Athletic Club before their victory over Bayern, which marked their first three points in the league phase.
With the Gunners' youth team unlikely to progress to the knockout stages, several younger academy stars were given the chance to shine, including Munoz and Emerson Nwaneri with the latter has been turning heads with his performances for the under-16s in recent months.
Despite not having featured for the under-18s yet, Munoz has proven he can hold his own when playing up a few years, as demonstrated by his performances at Nwaneri's age group.
In an attempt to secure a much-needed win, both players were brought on, leading to Munoz, who is 13 years, 11 months and 15 days old, making history as the youngest player ever to feature in the UEFA Youth League.
It's no shock that an Arsenal player now hold this specific record, given the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Ethan Nwaneri have all made their way into the first-team squad in recent years.
Dowman is the latest to break into the senior team with some impressive performances while Saka and Noni Madueke were sidelined due to injuries.
Now that both wingers are back in action following Madueke's return in the North London Derby victory over Tottenham after a two-month absence, Dowman has been playing again for the academy.
The 15-year-old demonstrated his skills off the bench during the initial weeks of the 2025/26 season, leading Arteta to make him the youngest player ever to appear in the Champions League at just 15 years and 308 days old.

Less than a year later, he became the youngest player to start a game for Arsenal as he was named from the off against Brighton in the Carabao Cup, leaving Arteta understandably impressed by his abilities.
The Arsenal head coach said: "What he's done on the pitch - he comes in, the first ball he takes is he takes people on, he starts to dribble and gets a foul.
"That's personality, that's courage - and you cannot teach that. You have it or you don't.
"And it doesn't matter what his passport says. You throw him in this context and he is able to adapt and have a good performance."
