16-year-old Ibrahim Rabbaj scores for Chelsea vs Barcelona in UEFA Youth League
There will have been more than one eye from chiefs of the club on the UEFA Youth League clash between the two clubs’ Under 19 sides.
Chelsea secured a 1-1 draw, with 16-year-old Ibrahim Rabbaj finding the net to save a point after the young Blues were second best for the majority of the contest.
The attacking midfielder almost won the game late on too, however his effort was cleared off the line in the final seconds.
Despite being just 16 years of age, it is now his second appearance in the Youth League, and in 53 minutes combined he now has a goal and two assists to his name.
There is a lot of excitement over this young talent playing three years above his age in the Youth League, who regularly features for the Under 18s in league action.

Rabbaj’s incredible goalscoring record
Rabbaj moved onto the radar of some Chelsea fans earlier in 2025 when his record of goals and assists at the academy level was revealed.
He had scored 50 goals and assisted another 60 in just 42 games, drawing comparisons to some of the world’s best at that age.
Chelsea are able to sign the youngster to a professional contract in January when he turns 17, and should make this one of their biggest priorities of the transfer window.
Cobham is not shy from creating brilliant talents, and the Blues look as if they have another on their hands with Rabbaj.
