Alisson has been left out of Liverpool's team against PSV Eindhoven due to illness, with Giorgi Mamardashvili returning to the team for tonight's game.
Liverpool's No.1 only returned to the side on Saturday – when the Reds were thrashed by Nottingham Forest – after missing the previous eight games due to a hamstring injury.
Another change to Liverpool's team sees Alexander Isak drop out to make space for Hugo Ekitike, who has started his career in a much more encouraging fashion than the former Newcastle striker.
Arne Slot explained his thinking behind taking Isak out of the team, suggesting that Liverpool's record signing has not had enough game time in recent weeks to start back-to-back games.
"Alex has played 30 minutes in the last four weeks, then 70 minutes for us against Nottingham Forest," Slot said. "It wasn't easy for him to manage himself through the 70 minutes.
"If you have another No.9 who is very good, then it makes sense to play him, and that is Hugo tonight."
