Newcastle United have a new injury concern, in English defender Kieran Trippier. Manager Eddie Howe said, after the 2-1 loss to Marseille: “we are not quite sure how long he is out.” His injury problem is undisclosed/unspecified.

Also, Yoane Wissa remains out with a knee injury.

He’s done a lot of work, he’s looked good and looked better with every session. He’s close to training with us, but before he gets there, it’s difficult to give you a return date.”
