Chelsea cruised to an impressive 3-0 victory against La Liga side Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
An own goal put the Blues in front at Stamford Bridge, before Estevao doubled the hosts’ advantage with a wonderful solo strike.
Liam Delap then looked to have netted Chelsea’s fourth disallowed goal of the night, before VAR intervened to award the strike and put Enzo Maresca’s side 3-0 up.
The hosts held on to pick up all three points in West London, moving Maresca’s side into the top eight in the group phase table.
Off the pitch, however, it appears that Chelsea are trailing one of their fiercest rivals in the race to sign a prolific striker.
As per CaughtOffside, Tottenham Hotspur are ahead of several clubs, including Chelsea, in the race to sign Porto striker Samu Aghehowa.
The report claims that a number of Premier League sides including Arsenal and Newcastle United have shown interest in the Spaniard, who has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers over the past couple of seasons.

Aghehowa, 21, has scored 36 goals in 60 games for Porto across all competitions since joining the club from Atletico Madrid back in 2024, despite never making a senior appearance for the Spanish side.
The Spain international, who has been capped four times by his country at senior level – is under contract in Porto until the end of the 2028/29 season.
Chelsea, who previously attempted to sign Aghehowa prior to his move to Portugal, are said to remain interested in the striker.
Newcastle’s interest, meanwhile, may have cooled since the summer when they signed both Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa.
It is claimed that Porto may be slightly willing to be flexible in regard to the striker’s release clause, which is currently set at around £87 million.
Porto could instead be willing to accept a fee of around £78 million, the report suggests.
