Brace yourselves, Philadelphia Eagles fans, DeVonta Smith's injury update is not looking any better than it did a day ago.
In the latest Eagles Week 13 injury report ahead of the Chicago Bears game, Smith once again did not practice with his shoulder and chest injury, but an illness was added to it. There's no telling when the injury occurred, if it did at all, in the Week 12 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but now it's two days of missing practice.
The good news is that running back Saquon Barkley was listed as limited in practice with his groin injury. This appears to be the same one he had during the second New York Giants game, which caused him to miss the second half of the fourth quarter.
The only significant change to the report was that defensive end Brandon Graham practiced despite his groin injury. Graham was listed as "did not practice" in the first injury report.
Here's the full breakdown:
Xavier Gipson, WR (Shoulder, DNP)
Lane Johnson, RT (Foot, DNP)
Andrew Mukuba, S (Ankle, DNP)
DeVonta Smith, WR (Shoulder/Chest/Illiness, DNP)
Saquon Barkley, RB (Groin, Limited)
Reed Blankenship, S (Thigh, Limited)
Landon Dickerson, G (Knee, Limited)
Brandon Graham, DE (Groin, Limited)
Myles Hinton, OL (Back, Full)
Willie Lampkin, OL (Knee/Ankle, Full)
Eagles got a massive problem at wide receiver
Not having Smith and Gipson could create depth concerns at wide receiver. While Eagles fans might not be happy with him after his fumble in the Cowboys game, Gipson is the team's main returner. Losing Smith would put more pressure on Jahan Dotson and Darius Cooper to step up in his absence.
Barkley's injury might end up opening the door for Tank Bigsby to finally get more snaps. It seems as though Barkley will still play, but he might not get as many snaps as he has had this season.
The secondary is looking a lot better for Philly with Blankenship in line to start. Other good news: Adoree' Jackson is off the report after his concussion evaluation following the Cowboys game. That could put him in line to start against the Bears.

There's still one more day to see what everyone's statuses will be, but all eyes are on Smith and what happens with him.
