Mikel Arteta finally ended Arsenal’s horrific run against Bayern Munich in style, with a great second-half performance. The manager's brave decisions paid off in the end, with his substitutes doing the business at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal took the lead through a set piece again, as Bukayo Saka’s corner kick found the head of Jurrien Timber. Lennart Karl then found the net after a ball over the top to Michael Olise perfectly found the youngster.
Arsenal began the second half well and were knocking on the Bayern door with Mikel Merino having several good chances. Cristhian Mosquera also tested Neuer before Declan Rice’s shot was stopped by the German’s toes.
