He looked a little deflated and bewildered on the sideline too, as if he was out of ideas, with it unclear whether he will be in charge for Sunday’s game against West Ham.
Slot himself has revealed how he is feeling about his job security, though, with the manager giving fans an insight into where his head is at.
Arne Slot is not worried about his job
The Champions League is Slot’s big chance to keep his job safe, with their Premier League title defence looking over already.
However, this result has only put them in a worse position, with their run of form simply not acceptable for a club of their stature.

Slot, however, seems to be rather calm about the situation and has admitted that he is not worried about being fired just yet.

“My focus is on other things than worrying about my own position. I need to do better.”
Liverpool dominated possession in the game and looked fairly comfortable in certain spells, but simple counter-attacks caught them out yet again.
Fans were also seen leaving early again and boos could even be heard at full time, showing just how serious things are getting.
Liverpool are in a crisis
In the past, if things were going wrong, the players were still working hard and leaving everything on the pitch, with this sometimes enough to get them over the line.
But now, all confidence appears to be lost and performances are far below the levels they should be, with there being a lack of intensity.
Whether they have stopped playing for Slot will probably never be known, but it certainly looks a little bit like it, and the Dutchman has no answers either.
FSG will certainly be thinking about their next move and the future of Slot, but for now, he seems confident that he will be in the dugout for Sunday.
