The Cincinnati Bengals will play the second Thanksgiving game in franchise history when they travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens on Thursday night. Unfortunately, they'll be missing one of their biggest weapons for the contest.
Star wide receiver Tee Higgins has been ruled out of the game against the Ravens as he continues to recover from a concussion that he suffered against the New England Patriots in Week 12.
Tee Higgins won't play vs. Ravens on Thanksgiving due to concussion
It will be the first missed game of the season for Higgins, who started in all 11 of Cincinnati's games thus far and has recorded 40 receptions for 575 yards and seven touchdowns. Higgins next opportunity to return to the field will be when the Bengals travel to Buffalo to face the Bills in Week 14. That game will take place on Dec. 7.
While the Bengals got some bad news on the injury front with Higgins, they also got some good news. Star quarterback Joe Burrow is set to return to action after an extended stay on the sideline. Burrow has been sidelined since Week 2 due to turf toe.
While Burrow will be missing one of his top targets in Higgins upon his return, he'll have another one available. Star receiver Ja'Marr Chase will be back out on the field after serving a one-game suspension for spitting at Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Chase has since apologized for his actions.
The game between the Bengals and Ravens is scheduled to kick off at 8:20 pm. ET from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
