J.J. WATT ON T.J. WATT
The Steelers have a strong history of great defensive players. However, none have more official sacks than T.J. Watt. While Watt isn’t having his best season this year, he’s still getting after the quarterback. He also added one more accolade to his resumé, passing his brother J.J. Watt in all-time sacks.
The elder Watt recently reflected on that moment in an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. Despite watching his younger brother surpass him, Watt is filled with nothing but pride. He also shares some behind-the-scenes details of his interactions with his brother that day. It’s a fun showing of the brotherhood between the two of them.
"It was really cool to see TJ break my sack record and we never really talked about it until the day of the game..
It turned out to be much more special than I thought it was gonna be..
I'm so happy for him and he's gonna break every record that I got" ~ @JJWatt #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/5xlK5PB9D6

ART ROONEY SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
Art Rooney was not only an important figure in Steelers history, but in the NFL’s history as a whole. Rooney was a prominent figure in the league. He helped break barriers and build the Steelers into one of the NFL’s most prominent franchises. His legacy continues on today in many ways.
That includes the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, which the league gives to the player who shows the best sportsmanship on the field. Each team nominates one player, and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared the complete list on Twitter. The Steelers’ representative this year is Pat Freiermuth. While Freiermuth hasn’t had a great season statistically, perhaps he’ll earn this honor.
NFL CELEBRATES AMERICA’S ANNIVERSARY
The NFL often likes to celebrate big occasions and incorporate them into its product. That includes holidays, and in 2026, that will include the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Next year marks the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. It’s a huge occasion for the country.
As a result, the NFL will participate in the recognition of America’s anniversary, as the NFL’s Brian McCarthy shared on Twitter. That will begin in Week 18 of this season and continue throughout the postseason. Also, it will be featured at the 2026 NFL Draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh.
