The NFL and Thanksgiving have been synonymous since the league's inception in 1920, and the league adopted the three-game format in 2006. Since 1997, there has been some form of entertainment during halftime shows. While it doesn’t rival the Super Bowl, the Thanksgiving halftime show is still more elaborate than regular-season halftime shows.
The NFL has chosen musical artist Post Malone to headline the 2025 Thanksgiving halftime show, with the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Kansas City Chiefs. This will not be Malone’s first NFL musical appearance, as he has previously been involved in both a pre-game ceremony and a halftime show during his career.
