Noni Madueke talked about marking his return to European action with a goal for Arsenal.
The winger was electric against **Liverpool**and Nottingham Forest as a deputy for Bukayo Saka on the right flank, and he looked bright against **Man City**before an injury ruled him out of action for two months. He came back to the field as a substitute in the 4-1 thrashing of Tottenham on the weekend, and he made an immediate impact off the bench for the Gunners against Bayern Munich.
Madueke crashed the back post to tap in a cross from Riccardo Calafiori, who had also come off the bench for Myles Lewis-Skelly in the second half, and the hosts went 2-1 ahead. Gabriel Martinelli, another substitute, sealed the three points on another morale boosting evening for the team. Next is a reunion for Madueke against **Chelsea**at Stamford Bridge, and he relishes the challenge that awaits.
“It was a top night, great . A Champions League night, so it was perfect to get my first goal for the club and for the win on top. It's a perfect night. I had a long injury, it was difficult, but today I made up for it. It's amazing. I can't really say much more man, just amazing!
*“Yeah, it's massive, it's a massive show. It's massive what we're producing at the moment, not just in the Champions League, but our domestic form and we need to continue at this level, keep it going.*
“The level we're playing at right now is incredible and we need to try and keep adapting, keep pushing it, keep pushing boundaries and that's the only way we can stay there.
“You go eight weeks without the thing you love the most in the world, so you are chomping at the bit to just be on the pitch as much as possible. I can't wait!”
