Curtis Jones has branded Liverpool's dreadful run of form as "unacceptable" in a furious interview. The Reds midfielder was visibly fuming following their 4-1 hammering by PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Liverpool crashed to a ninth loss in their last 12 outings after their defeat at the hands of PSV at Anfield. The thrashing has intensified criticism and heaped further pressure on head coach Arne Slot.
Jones was left stunned after yet another capitulation from the reigning Premier League champions, with Wednesday's defeat meaning Liverpool have now conceded 10 goals across their previous three fixtures. "I don't know, I don't have the answers, I'm the same as everyone else," Jones said in an interview with Irish broadcasters RTE.
"It's unacceptable to be honest. As I said, I don't even have the words, I'm past being angry and sad, I'm at the point now where I don't have the words.
"It's hard to find the words. I'm a player and a fan, I'm seeing it like this, I haven't experienced a team play like this bad and results like this.
"At the end of the day, we still have that badge on our chest, until that badge goes, we're always going to fight, try get this team to where it needs to be and show why Liverpool is the best team in the world. But as of now, we're in the s*** and it needs to change."
Liverpool remain in the Champions League playoff spots despite their second loss in the competition. However, Slot has seen his position as Liverpool head coach become the subject of speculation after their recent run of defeats.
Following Saturday's defeat to Nottingham Forest, they faced another enormous challenge when Ivan Perisic netted from the penalty spot for PSV within five minutes, after a Virgil van Dijk handball. One of Liverpool's standout performers this season, Dominik Szoboszlai, emerged at the crucial moment to level the score 16 minutes later, sparking momentum for the home side.
Hugo Ekitike, Cody Gakpo and Van Dijk all threatened to put Liverpool ahead before half-time. Their dominance persisted after the interval, with Alexis Mac Allister and Gakpo almost finding the back of the net, but moments later, an error from Milos Kerkez enabled Guus Til to put PSV back in front.

A mistake from Ibrahima Konate then allowed the visitors to break through, ultimately resulting in Couhaib Driouech's opening goal of the match. During added time, Driouech struck brilliantly to complete his brace and seal a fourth goal for PSV.
As a result, Slot is facing mounting pressure to address issues that have hindered Liverpool throughout the campaign. When questioned about speculation regarding his position as Liverpool head coach, Slot said: "I don’t think it’s important if it is fair or not. But that it’s normal, that I understand.
"If any manager around the world loses football games, let alone as many as we have lost, it’s quite normal that people have an opinion about that and if that is fair or not fair, that’s for other people to judge.
"But that it’s normal, I think it is that if you lose so many times that people start talking about that. I don’t agree with you that the quality [of Liverpool’s players] isn’t showing itself.
"I see enough moments that players show their quality but it doesn’t reflect in the score or in the results, that is clear. But no, I am not worried – what I mean with that is that my focus is on other things than worrying about my own position.
"I try to analyse [and] try to help the players as much as I can, and it is obvious that I don’t do it in the way that I did it last season because when you talk about individual errors, I think that is also something that comes from a team effort. So, again, I need to do better and that is what I am trying to do every single day, to improve the team, and that is where my main focus is, to be honest."
