Real Madrid superstar clashes with a journalist after Olympiacos win – ‘I think that’s a bad…

Kylian Mbappe was once again the star of the show for Real Madrid as they returned to winning ways last night, beating Olympiacos 4-3 in the UEFA Champions League in Greece.

The French superstar, who had gone without a goal for three games, bounced back in style, scoring all four goals for his team, including a seven-minute hat-trick in the first half.

Mbappe unhappy with reporter’s line of questioning

Given that Real Madrid’s winless run coincided with Mbappe not finding the back of the net, there has been talk of how the team is over-dependent on him to deliver the goods in attack.

Despite this, the French superstar does not believe there is any sort of ‘Mbappe-dependence’ within the team.

He made that clear in the mixed zone, where he showed irritation when a reporter brought up the term.

“You don’t have to say that. You should say that Kylian is responsible for us winning. I think that’s a bad question, no disrespect to you,” said Mbappe, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

Continuing, he added: “Everyone has their role in the team. Mine is to score goals, but I can say that without the other players, we wouldn’t win games.

“Every team has players who have a job to do, but I don’t think there’s any dependency or anything like that. I think it’s more a thing that journalists or people on the outside think.”

Mbappe also kept his feet on the ground after joining the select group of four Real Madrid players who have scored four goals in a single Champions League match – Alfredo Di Stefano, Ferenc Puskas, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“They are players who have left their mark on Real Madrid and it is an honour for me to be part of this, but I have to do much more for people to compare me to these three,” he concluded.
