'Angry'- Ryan Gravenberch sums up how everyone connected with Liverpool feels

Ryan Gravenberch has admitted that he and his Liverpool teammates are "angry" after their Champions League drubbing by PSV Eindhoven, a defeat that has fueled rumors about Arne Slot's future at Anfield.

The Reds were humiliated 4-1 by PSV on Wednesday at home, marking their third consecutive loss in all competitions. Each of these three matches has seen Liverpool lose by a three-goal margin, with Manchester City and Nottingham Forest also winning.

A string of six losses in seven Premier League games has sent Liverpool tumbling to 12th in the table ahead of the team's weekend trip to West Ham. Liverpool's poor run has now spilt over into European competition, with the thrashing by PSV leaving the club languishing in 13th place in the Champions League's league phase table.

When asked to express his feelings following Liverpool's capitulation to PSV, Gravenberch made a worrying admission.

"What can I say about today, we are just angry," Gravenberch told TNT Sports after being asked what the mood in the locker room was like. "Angry that we lost.

"I think in the first half we didn’t even play badly. We created a lot of chances. In the second half, it went really wrong."

Gravenberch's comments come after Slot faced questions about his future as Liverpool's manager.

"I don't think it's important if it's fair or not," Slot said when asked about his job security at Anfield. "But that is normal.

"That I understand. If any manager around the world loses football games, let alone so many as we've lost, it's quite normal that people have an opinion about that.

"And if that’s fair or not fair, that’s for the people to judge. But that is normal.

"I think it is that if you lose so many times, that people start talking about that.

"I think it's a shock for everyone. For the players, for the journalists over here, for me.

"For everyone, this is a shock that is very, very, very unexpected when you look at the quality we are having."

The Reds will now turn their attention to West Ham in the Premier League at the weekend, where they will be eager to bounce back to winning ways.
