Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott may be the stars on Thanksgiving at AT&T Stadium, but all eyes will also be on Post Malone.
The Cowboys’ halftime performer will take the stage during a pivotal game, continuing Dallas’ tradition of high-profile Thanksgiving halftime shows.
Originally a rapper and hip-hop artist, Post Malone has increasingly incorporated country influences, drawing inspiration from his Texas roots.
Here’s a look at where Post Malone is from and his connection to the Cowboys.

Where is Post Malone from?
Post Malone was born in Syracuse, New York, but his family moved to Texas when he was nine because his father was hired by the Cowboys as their concessions manager.
The five-time American Music Award winner lived in Grapevine, which sits to the north and west of Dallas and north of Arlington, where AT&T Stadium is now located.
Post Malone attended Grapevine High School and continues to show love to his hometown, as he dropped a $1,000 tip at a sports bar in Grapevine when he stopped in during a Cowboys game in October.
In the Cowboys' announcement regarding the halftime show, Post Malone made it clear he considered himself a Texan. "I'm from Texas," he said. "I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years."
