NFL power rankings: AFC East Week 13

After winning their ninth straight game, the New England Patriots (10-2) are now 2.5 games up on the Buffalo Bills (7-4) as they come off a loss in Houston. The Miami Dolphins (4-7) rested on their bye week, while the New York Jets (2-10) fell further behind in the division as they lost to Baltimore. With just six weeks left in the 2025 NFL Season, let’s take a look at the Week 13 AFC East Divisional Power Rankings.

The New York Jets changed starting quarterbacks last week, but Tyrod Taylor didn’t change the team’s fortunes as they lost to the Baltimore Ravens 23-10. The Jets are basically playing out the rest of the season at this point, as they’ve guaranteed themselves yet another sub-500 season and (likely) another top-5 draft pick.

#3 Miami Dolphins (4-7)

The Miami Dolphins built their first two-game winning streak heading into their Week 12 bye, and are still technically in the AFC playoff hunt. At 4-7, the Dolphins would likely need to win out to have any shot at the playoffs, but their schedule gets a bit easier in the near-term, so there’s a good chance they’ll be sitting at 6-7 when they face the Steelers in Week 15. It’s not over yet, Dolphins fans!

#2 Buffalo Bills (7-4)

The Buffalo Bills have now lost two of their last three games after losing to the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football. While Josh Allen remains one of the best quarterbacks in the league, his lack of weapons in the passing game is starting to catch up to him. If the Bills have any hope of winning the AFC East, they’ll most likely need to win the rest of their games this year.

#1 New England Patriots (10-2)

The New England Patriots haven’t been quite as dominant as of late, but they’ve still won nine games in a row heading into Week 13. With their bye week coming in Week 14, the Patriots will look to get to 11-2 before hosting the Buffalo Bills in a Week 15 game that would clinch the AFC for New England if they win.
