Both Chelsea and Arsenal will have some players on the sidelines when they meet in the Premier League this weekend.

The Gunners will make the trip to Stamford Bridge to take on the Blues in a top-of-the-table clash in the Premier League.

Arsenal have a six-point lead at the top of the league table with Chelsea in second place, having just beaten Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek.

Chelsea also enjoyed an impressive win in Europe, having claimed a 3-0 victory over Barcelona at Stamford Bridge in the week.

However, both clubs are currently dealing with several players being unavailable through injury or going through fitness scares ahead of the Super Sunday clash.

Leandro Trossard has handed Arsenal a fresh injury scare, having been substituted in the first half of the win over Bayern.

"With Leo, we don't know. He said he felt something, we didn't want to take any risk, obviously," Mikel Arteta admitted when asked about his decision to substitute Trossard.

Arsenal also have Gabriel Magalhaes , Viktor Gyokeres , Martin Odegaard , Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus all on the sidelines with injury.

With the exception of Gabriel, all of the aforementioned players could make their return from injury against Chelsea but are still doubts for the time being.

For Chelsea, they will be hoping to be able to call on Cole Palmer for the first time since September for the clash against Arsenal. Palmer has been dealing with a groin injury for much of the season, and it emerged last week that he suffered a fractured toe in an accident at home.

The Guardian have reported that the Blues are hopeful that Palmer could make his return to feature against the Gunners, with the England international spending the majority of the campaign so far on the sidelines.

"Yes, Cole is wearing a boot," said Maresca before Chelsea's win over Barcelona. "We don’t know when [he will be back to full fitness], but it will be soon.

"He is already on the pitch and already touching the ball. The feeling is good. At the moment, we are only looking at tomorrow’s game [vs Barcelona].

"It’s a Champions League game against Barcelona, that is our focus and then we will look ahead to Arsenal. I don’t think he will be available for these two games, but he is doing well."

Chelsea also have Romeo Lavia , Levi Colwill and Dario Essugo unavailable for the clash against Arsenal due to injury.
