Copenhagen were given a late scare by Kairat at Parken on Wednesday, but the Danes held on to claim a 3-2 victory that featured goals from 17-year-old Icelandic sensation Viktor Dadason and Jordan Larsson, son of Swedish legend Henrik.
"We obviously did not finish the game the way we had hoped," Jacob Neestrup told TV2 Sport, "but I choose to focus on the fact that we played a good match, won deservedly, and got ourselves on the winners’ board in the Champions League, which was important."
Indeed, Copenhagen's first win of the season means they can still qualify for the knockout stage, but it's not very likely. Maybe they could get something against Villarreal next time out, but it's hard to see them picking up points against either Napoli or Barcelona.
