'According to sources...' - Lewis Steele has just shared Arne Slot sack update out of Liverpool

Liverpool, a season after winning the Premier League title at a canter, suffered another defeat on Wednesday night. This time it was PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League who got the better of Arne Slot's Reds and a report has now revealed the decision made by the Anfield bosses surrounding the Dutchman's future at the club.

Despite being on such a terrible run, the powers that be at Liverpool are keen to stick by Slot, who was the successor to Jurgen Klopp when the German tactician stepped down in the summer of 2024. The report, however, claims that he is under serious pressure, and they could pull the trigger if performances do not improve.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Daily Mail journalist Lewis Steele wrote:

"Arne Slot undoubtedly under pressure but retains the backing of the Liverpool hierarchy right now according to sources close to LFC and the head coach. Slot will speak to the media at 3pm. Players/staff set to have a day off tomorrow.
