The Green Bay Packers released their final injury report Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s Thanksgiving game at Detroit, ruling out four players and listing four others as questionable. The report clarified availability after a limited practice week and set the stage for a short-week game with playoff implications.
Defensive linemen Lukas Van Ness and Karl Brooks were ruled out, along with wide receivers Savion Williams and Jayden Reed, the latter still on injured reserve with a designation to return. All four missed practice time and will not travel the full course with the team for the divisional matchup.

Questionable players include wide receiver Matthew Golden, linebackers Quay Walker, and cornerbacks Keisean Nixon and Nate Hobbs. Each was limited in walkthroughs during the week with various neck, wrist and knee issues, and the coaching staff said final decisions could come down to pregame checks.
Running back Josh Jacobs, who sat out last week with a knee issue, did not receive a game status and is expected to play after limited practice. Quarterback Jordan Love was listed as a full participant earlier in the week and remains available despite managing a shoulder concern, giving the Packers a veteran starter under center for the holiday tilt.
Green Bay’s depth will be tested if Nixon or Hobbs cannot go, as rookie Kamal Hadden could see expanded snaps in the secondary. The defensive rotation already must account for the absences of Van Ness and Brooks, and coaches plan to rely on situational packages and younger contributors to maintain pressure on the Lions.

Van Ness and three other players have been ruled out in Green Bay’s upcoming game against the Lions. This can be seen in the latest injury report by Wes Hodkiewicz for the team’s official website.
Green Bay has ruled out defensive linemen Lukas Van Ness (foot) and Karl Brooks (ankle), and receivers Savion Williams (foot) and Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder). Reed is currently on injured reserve with a designation to return.
The injury landscape tightens the margin for error in a matchup that carries immediate divisional weight and broader playoff ramifications. Special teams and complementary football may play an outsized role if either team is without key starters.

Coaches will declare final activations before kickoff, but the report gives a clear sense of who will not play and which roles are uncertain. Thursday’s decisions will shape game plans and could influence the NFC North race as the season moves into its decisive stretch.
