NFL bold predictions: NFC North Week 13

The 2025 season is officially entering crunch time. The Bears currently lead the division with one game separating them from the Packers and Lions. Unfortunately, the Vikings’ chances for the division crown are fading fast. Week 13 features entertaining matchups such as Detroit welcoming Green Bay on Thanksgiving, Chicago visiting Philadelphia on Black Friday, and Minnesota traveling to the Pacific Northwest to battle Seattle. This week’s slate of games carries both divisional alignment and playoff implications. Here are bold predictions for Week 13 in the NFC North.

Philadelphia’s defense has fared better at stopping the run, ranking 18th against the run and 22nd against the pass. The Bears use their rushing attack to open the passing lanes, and Caleb Williams finishes the game with his first 300-yard passing game of the season. In doing so, the Bears will secure their ninth victory in 10 games.

Chicago Struggles Against the Run

The Bears have been stagnant defending the run, and it finally catches up to them on Friday. The defense is surrendering the 5th–most rushing yards per gam,e and Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley torches Chicago’s front seven.

Aidan Hutchinson Leads Detroit’s Defense

Hutchinson’s 8.5 sacks lead Detroit and are looking to avenge week one’s loss that saw him fail to record a tackle. The fourth-year defensive end will be ready for Thanksgiving’s matchup and comes out of the gate firing on all cylinders. He finishes the game with three sacks on the way to a victory.

Detroit Gets Revenge on Week 1’s Loss

The Lions have been anticipating Thursday’s game since their week one loss to the Packers. Detroit trails Green Bay in the division and gets revenge on Thanksgiving. The team’s offense and defense turn out to be more than Green Bay can handle.

Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love Struggles in Loss

The Packers offense has taken a step back compared to previous seasons. They’re winning games, thanks to the defense, but Thursday’s game turns into a nightmare in the first quarter. Quarterback Jordan Love receives constant pressure from Detroit’s defense, finishing the game with 160 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Green Bay Can’t Find the Endzone on Thanksgiving

Detroit’s defense has been generous to opposing teams’ running games. Green Bay will look to run the ball early and have success moving downfield. Unfortunately, the positive yardage does not translate into touchdowns.

Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota Suffers First Shutout of the Season

Minnesota enters Sunday’s game having lost three consecutive games. Making matters worse, they visit a Seattle team that ranks 7th in yards allowed per game and points allowed per game. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy entered concussion protocol Sunday night, and his availability is questionable. Seattle hands Minnesota its fourth consecutive loss and first shutout of the season.

The Vikings Surrender Four Rushing Touchdowns

Minnesota’s defense has done a complete 180 compared to last season’s success. The team has been adequate against the pass, but they are stumbling in defending the run. Knowing this, Seattle runs the ball throughout the game, scoring four rushing touchdowns along the way.
