Idrissa Gana Gueye and Michael Keane share perfect Everton response in training

Everton duo Idrissa Gana Gueye and Michael Keane made the headlines on Monday night with their incident at Old Trafford.

David Moyes quickly saw his preparations to face Manchester United thrown out of the window on Monday.

Inside the opening 15 minutes, Everton had already lost Seamus Coleman through injury and Gueye through his bizarre red card.

It is believed that Keane has forgiven Gueye after the Senegal international apologised in front of the team in the Old Trafford dressing room.

Annoyingly, this now leaves Moyes with just James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam to select as his senior midfield options.

With the attention of the entire Premier League on the incident, Gueye and Keane have now laughed the scuffle off with a clear message from Finch Farm.

To clear any speculation over potential tension inside the camp, Keane and Gueye were captured laughing the incident off.

This is the perfect response to their scuffle at Old Trafford!

From Thursday’s training session at Finch Farm, a small boxing ring was set up as the pair pretended to box each other, before laughing the incident off.

The skit was videoed by Thierno Barry, with Beto acting as the referee for the mock boxing match.

Ruben Amorim admitted he did not think Gueye should have been sent off, but Everton fans will just be delighted to see the incident put behind the pair.

Those three points on Monday night certainly went a long way to helping the team forget about the sending off.

Idrissa Gana Gueye has a lot to make up to David Moyes

Everton News columnist Alan Myers wants Everton to sign a new midfielder signed in January.

The Toffees are set to be without Gueye anyway due to his commitment with the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Should Gueye have been sent off?

However, Gueye could now miss around nine games as a result of his three-game suspension behind added to his international duty.

It is a small disaster for Moyes, with Merlin Rohl missing Everton’s next few games through injury after he went under the knife this month.

When Gueye returns to action, he will have a lot to make up to his manager.
