Liverpool injury news ahead of the Premier League clash against West Ham United.
Arne Slot is hopeful that two players will return for Liverpool’s must-win trip to West Ham.
Pressure has mounted on Reds head coach Slot after a 4-1 defeat by PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League. Liverpool have suffered nine losses in their past 12 games. Alisson Becker was absent against PSV because of illness while Florian Wirtz was unavailable because of injury for a second straight match. Meanwhile, Hugo Ekitike was forced off because of a back issue.
Speaking at his pre-West Ham press conference, Slot is optimistic all three will be available. The Liverpool boss said: “Ali trained today so hope and expect him be available. Florian will have final day rehab tomorrow so if goes well, could train Saturday. Hugo, today was recovery but they don’t expect he has to be a big issue. Games comes fast so let’s see. Shouldn’t have to be an issue.”
