There will be three games on Thanksgiving Day and the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs are two of the teams taking part in contests, which means wide receiver Jameson Williams and running backs David Montgomery and Isiah Pacheco will all be in action.
The Lions draw a Week 13 matchup against the Green Bay Packers while the Chiefs face off against the Dallas Cowboys.
Pacheco, who is in the midst of a down season, is returning from injury this week after a three-game absence.
Montgomery and Williams have been able to stay healthy all season, but their production has been lackluster, also.
Here's some start or sit advice for all three players in Week 13.
David Montgomery start or sit advice
After splitting work with Jahmyr Gibbs in recent years, Montgomery has taken a clear back seat to his backfield mate. Montgomery has only tallied 15 carries or more twice this season and hasn't had more than 18 in any game.
Thanks to that and his lack of consistent usage in the passing game Montgomery ranks as RB24 overall, which makes him a shaky flex option on a weekly basis as opposed to the near lineup lock he has been the past few years.
Knowing that, it's all about matchups for Montgomery, who draws an unfavorable one against the Packers, a team tied for the fifth-fewest fantasy points allowed per game to running backs this season.
If you're starting Montgomery, you're relying on a touchdown. That, combined with the difficult matchup, should keep Montgomery on the bench in Week 13.
Verdict: Sit
Isiah Pacheco start or sit advice
Pacheco has split work with Kareem Hunt the entire season and there's no reason to believe that will change upon his return.
Thanks to that split and some poor blocking upfront, Pacheco's production has been lackluster, to say the least, as he ranks as RB84 overall in fantasy points per game.
Another concern for Pacheco this week is the fact that he may not have his usual workload in his first game back. Head coach Andy Reid wouldn't commit to how much work Pacheco would get during the week.
"We'll get him in there," Reid said. "How much? I can't tell you that right now. We'll see how it goes."
Pacheco does have a good matchup against a Cowboys defense surrendering the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position, so there's definitely an avenue for him to have success.
But after everything we've seen this season and the uncertainty with his workload, we can't suggest Pacheco as a starting option in Week 13.
Verdict: Sit
Jameson Williams start or sit advice
We've seen the duality of Williams over the last five weeks.
Williams had a three-game hot streak in which he compiled at least 66 receiving yards and one touchdown in each contest in that span, but those showings were sandwiched in between two games where he posted a bagel.
The Lions wideout is the true definition of a boom-or-bust player and that isn't going to change anytime soon. He enters Week 13 ranked as WR33 overall, a ranking that makes him a weekly flex consideration but not a lineup lock.
The best bet in making start or sit decisions with Williams is to go by his matchup. In Week 13, he squares off against a Packers team that is ceding the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts.
In his last meeting with the Packers, Williams tallied just four catches for 23 yards. In four games versus the Packers in his career, Williams has just 11 catches for 154 scoreless yards.
Ride the Williams roller coaster if you please, but there's more than enough evidence to suggest he should be on the bench this week.
Verdict: Sit
