Everton are back in Premier League action on Saturday evening as they take on Newcastle United at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Newcastle United fans reckon they’ll lose to Everton as they have very little confidence in their goalkeeper Nick Pope at the moment.
Everton will likely be the favourites after their back-to-back victories against Fulham and Manchester United.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium clash will see former player Anthony Gordon play at the new ground for the very first time.
Although, he probably won’t receive a great reception, given his comments back in March 2023.

Anthony Gordon’s dig at Everton in 2023 won’t make him popular this weekend
Gordon left Everton for Newcastle United in the midst of a relegation battle in January 2023, and supporters certainly weren’t happy with their academy graduate.
A couple of months later, the former Toffees winger did an interview with Sky Sports and said it really hurt that the club didn’t properly thank him in their statement when he left.

Anthony Gordon feels Everton fans have treated him terribly
“I think the effort I gave them last year… I won players’ players (of the year) and manager’s player of the year, so for them to not even show me any credit or thank me, it hurts a little bit.”
Considering those comments, Gordon will probably get booed this weekend, as he usually does when he faces Everton.
Gordon has even been linked with a move to Liverpool, so that transfer certainly wouldn’t help his case among Toffees supporters.
Anthony Gordon explains why he left Everton
Speaking for the first time after making the move to Newcastle almost three years ago, Gordon explained his reasoning behind his decision to leave.
“It was a really difficult decision and it’s been a really tough week for me. I’ve been at Everton for my whole footballing career so far, so it’s been difficult, but this is an opportunity that I couldn’t really miss out on.
“I didn’t mean to disrespect or offend anyone at Everton, and I’m hoping they know that and hopefully they can reinvest the money now and stay in the Premier League.
“I never imagined it or wanted it to go like that, that’s why it’s been such a tough week for me. But I just couldn’t miss out on this opportunity and they got a lot of money for me, so I’m hoping they can reinvest it into the squad.”
Everton’s official social media account has mocked Gordon in the past, so it seems there’s a fractured relationship on both sides.
