Barcelona star Fermín López was this week the recipient of a sentimental gift on the part of the club’s higher-ups.

As much comes after the midfielder took to the pitch for the 100th time in Blaugrana colours.

Fermín was in from the off once more on Tuesday night, as Barca made the trip to Stamford Bridge to lock horns with Chelsea in the Champions League.

And though Hansi Flick’s troops were ultimately put to the sword in concerning fashion, the Spanish international’s landmark outing was nevertheless recognised.

As showcased below, Fermín was presented with a specialised jersey by teammate and captain Marc-André ter Stegen at Barca’s training base:

Unfortunately for Barcelona’s attacking midfield standout, his day has since taken a turn for the worse.

This comes amid confirmation that Fermín is in line for an incoming spell on the sidelines, after picking up a calf injury in his right leg:
