Liverpool's stance on Arne Slot's future at club following poor run of form comes to light: Reports

Liverpool reportedly have no plans to sack Arne Slot, amid reports that Ange Postecoglou is being linked up by the Anfield side. The Reds are willing to back to the manager despite the drop in form, which has seen them lose nine of their 12 matches in all competitions.

According to a report in Tribal Football, Slot will remain at Anfield until the end of the season, regardless of form. The board are confident the former Feyenoord boss is still the right man for the job, and will give him time to turn things around.

Slot spoke to the media on Thursday, November 27, ahead of their Premier League clash against West Ham United this weekend and confirmed that the board are backing him. He said (via LiverpoolECHO):

"We've had the same convos as we've had since I've been here. We fight on. And we try to improve, that is what we all try. The convos have been the same as the last 18 months. Let down by the players? No, not at all. Although I do agree that our standards, the team, have not been at the standard we're used to."

"We think we can play better than we do. The focus is on the team not the individuals. If the opposite is happening, we look at the team not the individuals. It's not easy to say what I can do different."

Tribal Football add that Slot might be losing the dressing room after the dip in form. Many players are questioning the manager after the PSV loss, which marked the ninth loss in the last 12 games.

Liverpool urged to keep faith in Arne Slot by Jamie Redknapp

Former Premier League star Jamie Redknapp was on Sky Sports earlier this week and urged Liverpool not to sack Arne Slot. He said that the dip in form was expected last season and the board need to remain calm about the manager. He said:

"This is what I expected to happen last season. After Jurgen Klopp left, I thought there would be an effect on the team: a negative one. There wasn't. They ended up winning the league. Right time is a time for patience. People, pundits, everyone will be going crazy: 'sack the manager!' Be calm, take your time, make sure you assess."

Liverpool are 12th in the Premier League table after 12 matches, while sitting 13th in the UEFA Champions League after five games.
