The Minnesota Vikings won't be in action on Thanksgiving Day.
That doesn't mean there isn't plenty of impact to be had from the NFL games on Thursday that will go a long way toward the NFC playoff picture.
The day kicks off with the Green Bay Packers playing at the Detroit Lions.
After that, the Dallas Cowboys host the Kansas City Chiefs.
The nightcap features the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens.

Who should Vikings fans root for on Thanksgiving?
Vikings fans should root for the Packers and the Chiefs on Thanksgiving.
The first game is a tricky one. Green Bay is 7-3-1, while Detroit is 7-4.
But the key here is that Minnesota has a win over the Lions, which gives them a chance at that tiebreaker if the 4-7 Vikings rally and end up with the same record as the Lions for a Wild Card spot. So getting Detroit closer to Minnesota in the standings is preferred.

It's more clear why rooting for the Chiefs is good. Anything to knock a fellow NFC team from a different division down the standings, in this case the Cowboys, is useful.
The night game, between the Bengals and Ravens, won't have any bearing on the Vikings' final chances. Root for your QB preference between Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson, or just get an early night's sleep.
