The Detroit Lions have been without one of their best defensive players for several weeks now in safety Kerby Joseph.
Joseph has been battling a knee injury all season and hasn't appeared in a contest since Week 6 as a result. He is just one of many players in Detroit's secondary to get injured this season.
As Joseph misses his sixth-straight game in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers, here's what we know about his possible return timeline.
When is Kerby Joseph coming back?
It's hard to say when Joseph will be back.
The Lions never placed him on injured reserve, which signaled they didn't expect him to miss more than three games.
However, he has now missed double that many.
Head coach Dan Campbell didn't provide much of an update this week other than to say that Joseph is rehabbing and trying to get back.
"He's rehabbing, he's putting in the work," Campbell said of Joseph. "He knows that the work he's putting in now will hopefully keep us from having to play this ― ride this wave up and down of, 'okay he's back, now he's not able to go'. That's kind of what all this is about."
Considering the fact that he didn't practice at all this past week, we would not be surprised to see Joseph's absence extend into Week 14.
We'll get our next update on the Lions safety's status when Detroit drops its first Week 14 injury report on Monday.
