Liverpool head coach Arne Slot says he and Curtis Jones are on the same page after the Reds midfielder gave a passionate interview following his side's 4-1 home defeat to PSV.
In the Champions League, Liverpool has generally been better this season than in the Premier League. However, this midweek, it fell to a third successive three-goal loss after being well beaten 3-0 by both Manchester City and Nottingham Forest.
"You assume I heard what he said, which I didn't," Slot replied when asked during a press conference about what Jones said. "After the game, I have to do 120 interviews...
"He said we need to be dogs? Really good to bring it to the games, and this is what the players at least tried to do yesterday. The running data was very high and there were a lot of personal bests.
"The players try a lot but it didn't lead to anything in terms of the result. I think this is what he is saying: if we can bring it as a team to the game, this is the minimum I expect — and the fans expect — is we fight.
"I used the word fight and maybe he used some other words. But I think we are on the same page when it comes to how we want to get out of this situation."

"I don't have the answers," Jones said. "I'm the same as everybody else. Just unacceptable to be honest. I don't even have the words. It's beyond the point of being angry. I'm just lost for words.
"It's hard to find the words. I'm a player and a fan and I've not seen it like this for a long, long time. I haven't experienced a team playing this bad. But at the end of the day, we have still got that badge on our chest.
"Until that badge goes, we are always going to fight and try and get the team back to where it needs to be, showing the whole world whyLiverpool is the best team in the world. As of now, we're in the s--- and it needs to change."

Liverpool will take on West Ham United at the weekend and then has Sunderland and Leeds United next week. Sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table, it needs to improve quickly.
"We are just angry that we lost," Ryan Gravenberch said. "I think we didn't even play bad in the first half — we created a lot of chances. In the second half it went really wrong.
"We went 1-0 down early and then you see the reaction from us in the first half, I think we did good after.
"We played some good football, we created a lot of chances. It's so hard to find the words. We are just in a bad place right now."
