Heading into their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver George Pickens is coming off a pair of monster performances.
Pickens caught nine passes for 144 yards and a touchdown against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11 and he followed that up with nine catches, 146 yards and another touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12.
George Pickens expected to play vs. Chiefs on Thanksgiving
After that game against Philadelphia, Pickens popped up on Dallas' first estimated injury report for the new week with knee and calf injuries, which led to some worry regarding his status for the game against Kansas City.
However, Pickens progressed throughout the week and should be good to go against the Chiefs. He was listed as a limited practice participant on Tuesday and a full participant on Wednesday. He carries no injury designation heading into Thanksgiving.
On the season, his first in Dallas, Pickens has caught 67 passes for 1,054 yards and eight touchdowns. Only star Seahawks pass-catcher Jaxon Smith-Njigba has more receiving yards on the season than Pickens.
Pickens will look to keep his productive play rolling against a Chiefs team seeking a second consecutive win. Meanwhile, the Cowboys will be looking for a third straight victory in order to stay alive in the NFC playoff picture.
