Best NFL Thanksgiving Player Props: GB-Det, KC-Dal, Cin-Bal

One of the biggest days of the NFL season is upon us, and all three matchups feature legit star power on both sides of the ball.

From the clash of NFC North rivals Green Bay and Detroit at 1 p.m. through Bengals-Ravens tonight, this year’s Thanksgiving Day slate promises to feature plenty of fireworks — and tempting opportunities for player prop bettors

Without further ado, here are our three favorite NFL Thanksgiving player props — one for each game today.

Jameson Williams Over 51.5 Receiving Yards (-111 at DraftKings) — 1 unit

Williams has been boom-or-bust all season, but I expect him to have a solid game today against a Green Bay defense that will likely be selling out to contain Jahmyr Gibbs following the Detroit star RB’s massive performance against the Giants last Sunday.

I also expect Jared Goff — who targeted Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown on 25 of his 42 pass attempts last week — to get back to spreading the wealth. That should mean more targets for Williams, who is averaging nearly 5 per game this season.

Williams has five games this season with at least 66 yards receiving, but he’s been held to 23 yards or fewer four times, including in Week 1 vs. the Packers. Williams had at least one catch of 37 yards or longer in his last three games before his Week 12 goose egg, and I expect him to break off a long gain or two against a Green Bay secondary that Williams burned for 80 yards on five catches in his only appearance vs. the Packers in 2024.

We’re rolling the dice given how effectively Green Bay’s defense has held up against opposing quarterbacks and receivers this year, but I don’t see Williams having two quiet games in a row, especially given his substantial workload in the three games prior to to last week’s unusually quiet day (0 receptions on just 3 targets). Another reason to like Williams today is the fact that he’s been on the field for over 90 percent of Detroit’s offensive snaps in three of the last four weeks.

Javonte Williams Under 67.5 Rushing Yards (-112 at FanDuel) — 1 unit

The Chiefs have had their struggles this year, but this defense has done a great job against opposing No. 1 running backs all season. I expect that to continue this afternoon, which is bad news for Cowboys RB Javonte Williams.

Williams has been excellent this season, and he’s had at least 80 yards rushing in four of his last five games, including 83 or more in each of his last three.

Kansas City just held Colts star Jonathan Taylor to just 58 yards on 16 carries, and this defense also limited the Broncos as a team to just 59 yards rushing on 21 carries two weeks ago. Buffalo’s James Cook (27 carries for 114 yards) did gash the Chiefs in early November, but that performance was the exception to the rule when it comes to No. 1 running backs vs. Kansas City.
