LAKE FOREST, Ill., — The Chicago Bears are set to get some much-needed help on Black Friday when they head to Philadelphia to face off agaisnt the Eagles. Per Ian Rapoport, the Bears are set to activate defensive backs Kyler Gordon and Jaylon Johnson off of injured reserve to officially make their return.
Johnson hasn't played since Week 2 when he was hurt in the loss to the Detroit Lions. He had a core muscle surgery which has kept him out since then. He's played in just one game this season after suffering an injury ahead of training camp.
For Gordon he's played in just two games this season. He suffered a calf injury in practice ahead of the game at Baltimore and was placed on injured reserve.
Chicago has been hit with significant injuries on the defense this season, including losing Tremaine Edmunds to injured reserve last week. Against the Steelers, the Bears were down their top three linebackers as T.J. Edwards and Noah Sewell are also injured. This should be a big boost for the Bears not only against the Eagles but in the final stretch here in December as the schedule gets tougher.
