The Golden State Warriors had [a very bad loss](/warriors-scores-results/105568/warriors-rockets-recap-steph-curry-injury) on Wednesday night, falling 104-100 to a Houston Rockets team that was without Kevin Durant. The post-game quotes from Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler III made it abundantly clear that the team is in a bad place right now, but the real bad news was that Steph Curry left in the fourth quarter with a quad contusion, and is headed for an MRI.

The Dubs got off to a great start, and led 20-11 halfway through the quarter. The offense predictably fell apart when Curry went to the bench, and they led just 25-22 at the end of one.
It wasn’t the prettiest second quarter, either … at least until the end. They rattled off a late 10-0 run, and ended the half in style, taking a 59-47 lead to the lockers. But they were getting killed on the glass.
The Warriors pushed the lead to 14 points, and then got smacked in the face by Reed Sheppard, who led Houston on a big charge as they erased the lead. Golden State led just 76-74 heading into the fourth, and still couldn’t grab a rebound.
The Rockets took their first lead of the game on the first possession of the fourth quarter, and from there they were off to the races. They pushed the lead to eight, before the Warriors got back in it. Things got tense late, but after Curry took a few hard hits, the Dubs fell apart.
