Tyler Dibling’s start to life at Everton has certainly not been what the 19-year-old would have hoped for at the start of the season.
Now 12 games into the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, Dibling has played just a mere 62 minutes of Premier League football.
Everton have seen Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish nail down the starting spots on the wings, with some incredible individual performances.
The lack of minutes comes after David Moyes battled to sign Dibling from Southampton in a deal believed to be worth around £35m.
Dibling’s fortunes could change over the coming weeks as the Toffees prepare to say goodbye to Ndiaye for the Africa Cup of Nations.
On the back of his tricky start to life on Merseyside, former Everton defender Tony Hibbert has shared a clear message to the youngster.

Dibling has also seen his England U21 minutes reduced over the latest international break, following his start at Everton.
The £35m winger needs to be playing minutes on a regular basis if he is to continue his development from his time on the south coast.

Everton News understands that those inside Everton remain confident Dibling will succeed on Merseyside.
It is impossible to deny that it has not been the ideal start for the youngster at Everton, but he will soon be handed an opportunity to replace Ndiaye in the starting XI.
Everton must have patience with Dibling
Tony Bellew is becoming worried that Everton will lose Ndiaye on the back of his stunning start to the season.
The Senegal international has set the Premier League alight in the opening months, with four goals and an assist in the league.
Former Southampton manager Russell Martin on Tyler Dibling
“He’s the most talented player I’ve ever seen. Tyler has every capability to go and play for England and at a top level club for a very long time.”
Many will expect Dibling to be the player soon to fill the void on the right wing when Ndiaye depart for AFCON.
It would be extremely harsh to expect Dibling to hit the ground running having barely played any football this season.
Alan Stubbs is also expecting Dibling to become important for Moyes over the coming weeks.
Patience is going to be key with the 19-year-old, who will be keen to showcase his talent once given the opportunity.
