Russell Wilson and his wife, singer Ciara, through the Why Not You Foundation, announced a major Thanksgiving-season gift aimed at helping children and families. The foundation’s $3 million commitment to Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital will fund therapeutic spaces designed to support pediatric patients and their families during hospital stays.
The donation will name and renovate the Child Life Zone Theater and the Play Space in the Jack Martin Fund Inpatient Unit for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disease. Hospital leaders say the funds will create playrooms, private family lounges and areas for counseling and creative therapies.

“Children are the heartbeat of our future, and every child deserves a safe, comforting place to heal and grow,” Wilson said. Ciara added the goal is for these spaces to be “an oasis a place where a child can simply be a kid, and where a parent can find a crucial moment of peace.”

Wilson has visited Mount Sinai regularly, calling those visits “among the biggest highlights of my week.” The foundation debuted its partnership during a $3 Million Dollar Dinner at MetLife Stadium and plans to deploy the funds over the next two years. Hospital officials praised the gift as transformative for patient-and family-centered care. He also praised his wife Ciara for all the initiative.

On the field, Wilson remains the Giants’ starting quarterback this season and has balanced charity work with the grind of the NFL calendar. While outcomes on game day can vary, his commitment off the field has been steady. The foundation’s timing right before the holidays, underscores the couple’s focus on community impact as families gather.
Ciara, a longtime children’s health advocate and Grammy winner, emphasized opening doors and creating supportive spaces for youth. “Giving back through partnerships like this is a dream for us,” she said. The gift is a reminder that athletes and entertainers can shape lives beyond sport, especially during a season when family and healing are top of mind.
