Bills’ Week 13 Thursday Injury Report: Starting OTs Still Dnp, Te Dalton Kincaid Limited

The Pittsburgh Steelers face a tough AFC opponent this week following their loss to the Chicago Bears. The Buffalo Bills are coming to town, although they’re a little banged up at some key positions. However, they did receive some good news on Thanksgiving.

Below is the Bills’ Thursday injury report for Week 13, which the team released on Twitter.

The Bills’ offensive tackle situation hasn’t improved. Spencer Brown and Dion Dawkins, both starting tackles, still haven’t practiced. That’s significant to monitor, especially with edge rusher being one of the Steelers’ biggest strengths. Josh Allen has had issues when getting pressured this season, so the Bills missing not just one but both of those players could be huge for the Steelers.

Additionally, the Bills saw receiver Josh Palmer go from a limited participant on Wednesday to not practicing at all on Thursday. That step back usually isn’t a good sign for players.

While Palmer hasn’t been a huge factor for the Bills, only catching 18 passes for 272 yards, the Bills don’t have a true No. 1 wideout. It’s a by-committee group, and missing Palmer would hurt their depth at that position, especially considering Curtis Samuel also has yet to practice this week.

It wasn’t all bad news for the Bills on Thanksgiving, though. Allen continued to be a full participant, despite getting beaten up in the Bills’ last game. Also, corner Maxwell Hairston was a full participant after being limited on Wednesday. He’s been a solid contributor for the Bills this season, notching two interceptions. Having him healthy would be good for their defense.

Also, tight end Dalton Kincaid was limited after not participating in practice on Wednesday. That’s also a significant situation to monitor. Kincaid is one of the Bills’ best offensive weapons. He’s got 29 catches for 448 yards and four touchdowns this season. With the Steelers having issues covering tight ends, Kincaid could be a serious problem for them if he’s able to suit up Sunday.

The Bills also saw defensive linemen DaQuan Jones and Phidarian Mathis practice in full, a change from each’s earlier status. The Bills’ run defense is one of their biggest weaknesses, so having all the bodies they can is important. We’ll see how things change as the game draws closer.
