Liverpool suffered a 4-1 home defeat to PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, matching their joint-heaviest loss in European competition.
The Reds have now lost nine of their last 12 matches in all competitions, with Arne Slot presiding over a side struggling for confidence.
This defeat follows a 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest over the weekend, marking two heavy home defeats in a week.
Liverpool sit 12th in the Premier League and have dropped out of the Champions League automatic qualification spots.
The final whistle was met with boos as pressure mounts on Slot.
Asked whether he has spoken to sporting director Richard Hughes or the Liverpool owners since Wednesday night, the Dutchman said: “Yes, we have had the same conversations since I was here.
“I am not sure if I said last night but we fight on, we try to improve – that’s what we all try – but the conversations have been the same as they have been for the last one-and-a-years.
“There is a lot of pressure if you play or work at a top club and even more so if you start losing more games than this club or these players or this manager is used to.
“Then there is always pressure.”
Ibrahima Konate, who has faced scrutiny for his recent poor form, took to social media to thank the fans for their support and assured them that the players will keep fighting to turn Liverpool’s poor run of form around.
Konate posted on his Instagram page: “We have to take this moment on the chest.
“Criticism is part of football, and we’ll fight back every time and come through this storm.
“In these moments, the fans matter most.
“The ones who stand with us in the good times and the bad – the ones who sing for us even in the difficult moments!
“Your voice and your support mean everything to us.
“We know we need to improve and we’ll keep fighting for you. Always. ❤️❤️”
