CeeDee Lamb is the DallasCowboys’ All-Pro wide receiver, preparing for a highly anticipated Thanksgiving matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Cowboys are riding momentum after a win over the Philadelphia Eagles, but Lambwasn’t happy with his performance and called himself out after the game. 1. CeeDeeLamb’s Family Includes His Dad Cliff and a Line of Football Roots
Cliff Lamb played football at MidAmerica Nazarene University, and his brother Adam Lamb starred at Texas Southern. They sawCeeDee’s potential early and still talk about one of his first jaw-dropping catches when he was just five years old.
Cliff andCeeDee’s mother, Leta Ramirez, divorced when Lamb was nine. During footballseason he sometimes stayed with his Pop Warner coach, Darrick Reed, who immediately recognized the talent. “It was clear from a young age we would be watching him on Saturdays and Sundays,”Reed told OU Daily in 2019.
Cliff celebrated when the Cowboys drafted him in the first round in 2020, telling NBC: “Dallas is my new home. No better place than Jerry World.”
2. CeeDeeLamb’s Mom Is His Biggest Fan
Ramirez drove her son 45 miles each way for practices and games in Houston. “When you have the chance to better one of yourkids’ lives, you do it,”Ramirez said.
The family faced tragedy whenLamb’s stepfather, Samuel Moreno Jr., was killed when Lamb was 14. His uncle died three years later. Cliff said those losses shaped his son. “Therearen’t many 20-some-year-oldsthat have experienced that much pain.”
Ramirez later made headlinesafter publicly criticizing quarterback Dak Prescott on social media. Lamb later clarified on MicahParsons’“The Edge”podcast.
“Let’s get the elephant out of the room … I know what my mom said,” Lamb said. “Once again, and I’m gonna repeat this … NO! I have no beef with my quarterback! I love my dawg [Prescott.] He knows that.”
3. The DallasCowboys’ WR Has 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters
Lamb’s brothers are Christian Lamb and Taribbean Ramirez. Christian remembers when his brother became a high school star. “He’s my big bro,”Christian said.
Taribbean plays wide receiver at Navarro College and Sul Ross State.
Lamb also has two younger sisters named Andres and Brianna. The family moved from Louisiana to Houston after Hurricane Katrina.
4. His NFL Cousin Is Bills Wide Receiver Keon Coleman
Keon Coleman revealed in 2024 that they are cousins. “Playing with CeeDee Lamb. That would be a dream come true. That’s actually my cousin. That would be great. I worked out with him. He has a very elusive game. I feel like he can do some of the things I can do,”Coleman said.
“He has a little extra sauce to his game. I would love to play with him someday.”
The two trained together shortly after Coleman was drafted No. 22 overall in 2024. Coleman said Lamb has “a little extra sauce”in his game.
5. CeeDeeLamb’s Ex-Girlfriend Crymson Rose Went Viral at the NFL Draft
Rose played basketball atOklahoma, where they met. She became an overnight viral figure when she grabbedLamb’s phone during his NFL Draft broadcast.Lamb took the phone back right away while still on a call, and the clip went viral.
The couple confirmed there was no cheating involved, but they split afterward. Rose has since moved on, and fans still comment about the infamous moment.
